What has been your favorite Halloween costume?
Mine was when I was in 6th grade, and I
dressed-up as a rag
doll. It was probably my favorite
costume due to the involvement of both my mom and older sister, Amy.
I came up with the idea but didn't know
how to pull it off. Luckily my mom
had an idea for my hair. She
actually took apart a mop and washed the mop top before dying it bright
red. I was a little horrified
about wearing a cotton mop top on my head yet amazed at the intensity of
the
red cotton yarn. She then braided
the yarn and helped me develop a wig I could proudly wear. Raggedy
Ann had nothing on me. Now it was my older sister's turn
to
help me. During the summer Amy had
been a bridesmaid and was forced to wear a light blue, gingham check
bridesmaid
dress with a white pinafore apron.
She enthusiastically cut three feet off the bottom of the dress
and
pinafore apron and hemmed it by hand for my short stature. She
was thrilled to see some good come
of this 1970's abomination of a bridesmaid dress.
Now
it is your turn. Write to me about your favorite Halloween costume
and focus on including some great descriptive details. Remember
grammar counts so edit your response carefully before posting. Points
will be taken off for "Unacceptables".
Don't forget to sign
your name! You need to complete this assignment before Friday, October
28 at 5 p.m.
Have fun and read others' posts for ideas. Don't

ReplyDeleteThe morning of Halloween, both of them helped me into my dress and stockings. My sister then gave me an old pair of black ballet slippers to wear for shoes. After arranging the wig on my head and making sure it would fall off, my mom used lipstick to paint bright, ruby red circles on my checks and a brown eyeliner pencil to draw freckles and eye lashes. After a while, my face began to itch, but I was “all smiles” due to the group effort. That is why the rag doll costume is one of my favorites.
I look forward to reading your responses :)
My favorite Halloween costume will be' Homework Monster'. I will make it by me.Now just a plan .And will be true. I will use some (a lot) notebook paper and write ‘HOMEWORK’ or some math problem with F^(1/100)。Stick it all over a big nice jacked. Then I need a mask, I will use several of these paper stick it on a face shape card board and cut off a crazy horror eyes and bloody mouth but no nose.that's may be my fourth time having Halloween and trick or treat . That is my Halloween costume. IS THAT COOL?

I think I would have to say my favorite Halloween costume would have to be the Scream costume in 4 and 5th grade. The mask has a fake heart that you can squeeze. The blood goes through the vessels and comes through the mask with a dash of blood going down the face. The top/bottom is together and it is all black with fridges at the end to make it look like thick spikes. I finally get my pillowcase and start Trick or Treating. :) I end and I usually end up with about 7 or 8 pounds of delicious candy.

The most amazing Halloween costume I have ever done was in 4th grade when I was a fish tank. Now, first things first, my mom is quite the holiday mom, we always go all out on decorations, food, and of course, costumes! So, what I did for my fish tank was we started out by taking a big, old cardboard box, cut out 2 leg holes, 2 arm holes and a “glass” sides. We spray painted it, a blackish-blue color and filled the holes with blue see-through paper. Now, we added the fish. There were 3. A blue one, Galspatco. A yellow one, Nemo. And a red one, Mr. Bubbly Pants. And knowing mom, they were real! That year I won the coolest costume award at my school! But the only downside was you couldn’t trick-or-treat at the same houses more than once because everyone remembered that costume!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite Halloween costume is James from Silent Hill. My costume is made up of a green jacket, a pocket flashlight, a radio, and a wooden plank. What I say when I get to the door is hi i'm looking for Mary. I think this costume is very cool and alot like James in the very popular survival horror game Silent Hill 2.
I dont know what im going to be this year. However im going to go costume shoping wednesday or thursday. I'm probably going to be something wierd.

ReplyDeleteIt was a hard choice on which of my costumes in the past year were my favorite but i have decided it was last year. I was a green eminem whith a big white "M" in the middle. It had to big brown eyes on the side of it, like they have on the adds. It was a little bit flat I thought, so before I went trick-or-treating I made a few adjustments. My dad and I bent two or three coat hangers and stuck them to the inside of the costume. Then we put wires in it going out. So when it was on me it would stick out like a perfect circle. I was to impatient to wait for an hour before trick-or-treating so I decided to add a little "extra." I drew mouse whiskers and a snout on my face, and then put on some black fluffy mouse ears. So at the end of the night I turned out being a "Mouse in a M&M costume!"

My favorite Halloween costume would have to be my costume in first grade. It was epic because I was a giraffe! I remembered I wanted to be a giraffe because I had that costume for over a year and it did not fit the year before and I had nothing else to wear. I remember walking in a line at school wearing it with all my classmates wearing their costumes and we were walking through all the classrooms because at the elementry school, all the first grade classes did a parade through the school. It was the best costume ever!!

My absolute favorite Halloween costume ever would be my Tigger costume from Winnie the Pooh when I was 3 years old.
ReplyDeleteI remember that it was really soft. I thought it was really cool when I was little. It was orange all over with brown stripes. My costume had a hood that looked like Tigger's face. People gave me a lot candy because of my costume.

My favorite halloween costume was the grim reaper. When I was in second grade I had seen my brother in the costume. The costume was so cool, that I begged my mom to allow me to wear it one year for halloween. She said yes and in fourth grade, I was the GRIM REAPER! Gliding over the streets, I practically felt like death itself. The best part of the costume was the scythe. The scythe was a long black rod with a screaming skull on it. the skull had a curved spine coming out of it that had bones coming out of it vertically. It looked really scary, so scary that when my cousin visited I had to hide it in the closet!

I would have to say that my favorite costume would be dressing up like a nerd. The nerd costume I'm talking about contains a pair of nerd glasses, rainbow suspenders, cargo or jean shorts pulled up a little bit, black tights, stupid visible socks, and whatever shoes you would like to wear. I have been a nerd for Halloween for the past 4 years and I want to keep the nerd costume going. I am excited to wear my costume because I just got done getting everything I need for it.

My favorite Halloween costume is definitely going to be this years. I'm going to dress up as a gangster. I kind of had a basic idea of what I was going to wear, my neon DC shoes, baggy sweatpants, a sweatshirt and a flat-billed hat. When I told my mom this she was like "Well why don't you add a bandana underneath the hat and have it peak out." I'm also going to put on heavy black eyeliner and instead of a baggier sweatshirt I'm going to do one that's a little more fitted but still baggy. This will definitely be a very fun Halloween.

My favorite Halloween costume was the one i had in third grade. It was a grim reaper! The front of the costume had shown an x-ray of my chest. Then there was a REAL metal chain connecting the bones to other bones. It was very scary!(to me at the time) The bottom of the my robe there was burn marks, it gave the effect that i came out of the fire! To top it off i would have a gruesome mask! Then it was up to me to get the candy!

My favorite Halloween costume of all time would have to be the one I am dressing up to be this year, the jellybean costume! I was thinking of having to wear all black (shoes,long-sleeve shirt, and black pants.) Then my mom and brother will help me blowing up all different colored types of balloons, from pink to blue to yellow. I think it will look great! Then once all the balloons are blown up i will connect a safety pin though my shirt and though the knot of the balloon. This costume is pretty good to wear because you don't have to buy unnecessary items but balloons. Now I just have to look yummy enough to get some of the real jellybeans!
ReplyDeleteMy absolute favorite costume would have to be my... Buzz Lightyear costume from when I was 5. I was totally into it shooting all the kids tricker treating. Imagine walking down a drive way with some tasty candy and you see this little kid pointing a fake gun at you and saying "Pyew pyew boom!" Maybe just a little weird. I felt like "The Chosen One' shooting my "enemies" (wasn't to happy about that) and stuffing my mouth with candy. That evening ended with some chocolate raided faces and a bath. It took a while to go to sleep thinking of all the candy I had and... dang school tomorrow (no offense Mrs. Allen).

My favorite Halloween costume would have to be actually have to be tie between my the chicken man or my cousin. The "My Cousin" costume is just me wearing regular clothes and a goblin mask that has over three feet of hair that always somehow ends up in my mouth. My actual cousin has a lot of hair, like, a LOT. So I told everyone I was my cousin. The chicken man costume is when I was dressed in prison clothes and I had a fried chicken hat on.In the school haunted house, I was the man-eating chicken that year, but I was really just a random guy eating KFC (first time I had KFC).

My favorite costume would probably be the one i'm doing this year, the zombie, an oldie, but a goody, it will consist of ripped clothes, green and red face paint and an epic zombie limp. On Halloween I'm gonna walk around and scare a bunch of little kids.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite Halloween costume would have to be last year’s, when I went as a Viking. I had a grey shirt, for chain mail, and brown pants that I wore. I sported a belt with a fake sword in it and a horned helmet, and I carried a large, circular shield made out of cardboard and painted red and yellow. I used the shield to my advantage to help protect my friend and I from someone who wanted to hug us at our school’s fall carnival. (If you’re reading this blog post, sorry about that.) I also carried a fake battleaxe that I used to bang on doors to see if anyone was home! That was an awesome All Hallow’s Eve (Halloween) costume!

I've always had a hard time deciding what to be for Halloween, so my costume usually isn't figured out until the last moment at a spur of the moments thought. So far, my favorite costume was two years ago when I was a pirate. I had a really cute hat (like Jack Sparrows) and an awesome ripped dress with red and black, so it looked like I just came back from sailing the high seas! I dug out a telescope I got from Lego Land when I went to California and also had a bandana with a skull on it. The telescope worked surprisingly good. I had a foam sword (which I couldn't bring to school) and a realistic-looking plastic hook! I took off my eyepatch though, it was getting itchy I strolled around my neighborhood with my friends, "arrr"-ing and "grr"-ing at all the houses, and collected nearly two bags of candy! I pretended it was my bounty and spent the rest of the night speaking pirate language!
ReplyDeleteI'm still trying to find a costume to top that, and I have some pretty good ideas!
My favorite costume was when I was in I think 4th grade. I dressed up as Mr. Domento (Weird name) but it was actually pretty cool. It was a mask as a goblin of some sort with a cloak.I could'nt really see through it so I had to cut the eyes off. :(

My favorite costumes was when I was Lady Gaga in 5th grade. I had a white wig on, one of her wacky red dresses, red high-heels, and rainbow false eyelashes! I wore it to school and everyone thought that it was very unique.

My favorite Halloween costume I have done is from when I was in the sixth grade. I was in the haunted house/carnival, I was a clown. I worn hot pink jeans, a tie dyed shirt, my brothers never used (but too small) boxing shoes so they were way too big. I also wore a big wig that had lots of colors like pink and purple, and I had lots of fa e paint. My favorite part of my costume was the face paint. Before the haunted house my friend painted my face for me, I was in the first shift and she was in the second so we didn't have to worry about time. On actual Halloween day my stepmom painted my face for me. I like this costume the best out of the others by far.

My favorite costume that I have been would have to be in 3rd grade when I was a bunch of purple grapes. I wore green sweats which were the vines and a purple long sleeved shirt as a background to the grapes. To make the grapes my mom helped me blow up a bunch of purple balloons and pin the knotted part to my shirt. I really liked this costume because I thought it was very cool and fun. After all of the trick or treating none of the balloons had popped except for one once I got home. This is by far my favorite costume and I think it would be hard to top.

My favorite costume I have ever seen is probably what I was last year. Last year I was a clown and I had rainbow suspenders, a huge rainbow Afro. I also had jumbo rainbow colored shoes, a big colorful suit, and to top it off, I had a big red nose that squeaked whenever I squeezed it. I thought that was a cool costume and that's why it was my favorite.

My favorite costume out of all would have to be the one that I have this year at the age of 13. The reason for that is when I saw all of the other costumes they wernt as interesting and I was going with a group so I had to match with the others. My costume this year is a full spandex suit. It covers your whole intire body including your face, mine is red. My other friends have diffferent colors. We have different colors so that we stand out more as a group. That is why that is my favorite Halloween costume.
ReplyDeleteMcKinney,Morgan L.A. B2
My favorite Halloween costume is probably my rhinoceros costume from kindergarten. Every year before that, I wanted to wear my own clothes, not my costume. It was the first year I wanted to wear a costume. The costume was gray and fuzzy with a short tail. The head, complete with eyes, fabric horns, and ears, went over mine like a hood. I wore this costume for several years, and then I wore it even more when my mom converted it into a dinosaur costume.
ReplyDeleteJackson Friess B3
My favorite Halloween costume would have to be my costume for this year, Cole MacGrath from InFamous 2. I didn't have a messenger backpack, so I used a guitar strap. The shirt is actually important, because he only wears plain shirts with different colored shoulders. His jeans always have an asterisk sign on them. I will have a better costume of him next year though.

my favorite costume was probobly my knight costume from 3rd grade, probobly because it gave me an excuse to say "on-gaurd!" and hit my older brother with my to sheild and sword. eventually, this escalated to a full-on sword fight, in which i lost my candy eating privliges for the day, and got several bruises. i still had fun despite that.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite Halloween costume was when I dressed as a Viking in 6th grade. My costume was basically a horned helmet (Viking helmets didn't actually have horns, however) and an ax. I obtained both items at Spirit Halloween. The ax had a large grey blade, with spikes on the opposite side of it and on the top, a blue shaft, and a spiked mace on the bottom. The helmet had two long black horns, gold siding, and leather flaps on the sides and back. My parents let me watch a rated-R movie about vikings (The 13th Warrior) a few weeks before I went around pillaging (trick-or-treating at) Blackhawk and getting a ton of loot (candy). I ended up getting nearly 80 candy bars!

My favorite Halloween costume was when I dressed as Homer Simpson in 6th grade. My costume was a white polo shirt with a pillow under it, Blue jeans, and a Homer Simpson mask. I obtained my mask in party city, and my blue jeans and my white polo in sears. I went trick-or-treating in Westlake with my friends and we went to my house and watched “Paranormal Activity 1”. After the movie, we stayed up all night eating candy and telling ghost stories.

My favorite costume of all time is definitely the screamer. I love the mouth on the face and since the eyes and mouth are black and the face is white, they stand out a lot! Also I am a screaming kind of person. As in I get scared easily. So it's nice to scare some people even tough I'm the scaredy-cat.

My favorite costume that i have ever come up with was this year. I am a unicorn. I love how there is a one inch horn on the top of the hat with small little ears and cute little button eyes. It's glittery and sparkly pink. I have short boots that have strings jangling from them and cute unicorn wings! I only wish i could fly! :)

This year, for Halloween, I am going as a boxer. The reason I am going as a boxer is because after eleven years of costumes, I’ve run out of ideas. Since, I did not have a costume yet and needed one, but was short on time to finish one; I decided to start digging around in my dad’s closet. By doing this, I found my dad’s boxer costume and decided to wear it this year. One thing that I like about my costume is that this is the first year ever that I have worn a store bought costume. Another thing that I like about my boxer costume is that it has real boxing gloves to go along with it. Those boxing gloves can provide more of a boxer-like feel to my costume. Even on such short notice, I feel that I have come up with a good Halloween costume this year.
